Parishioners and neighbors visit what had been the site of the 1881-vintage St. John the Evangelist Chapel in Bahner, the day lightning struck the steeple and caused a fire that rendered the chapel and its contents a complete loss. Later that day, about 100 parishioners and friends gathered with Father Joseph Corel, pastor, for a Holy Hour in the presence of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the nearby Community Center.
