O Sacrament Most Holy

I think it really shows the importance of what we do here every Sunday and it makes it real for us to go out of the church and see the Eucharist.”

Members of Annunciation Parish in California join their pastor, Father Anthony Viviano, and Deacon Robert Reinkemeyer in an outdoor procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament after Mass on June 19, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as “Corpus Christi.”

This was one of several observances held in parishes throughout the diocese to mark the feastday and give public witness to the belief in and worship of Christ and his total gift of self in the  Eucharist.

Young parishioners Nicki and Corynn Frank, daughters of Josh and Joann Frank, carried the candles in the procession.

“When we were processing, you could just feel the grace of God over you,” Nicki stated. “It was great, because you have our whole church there and it was great participation of all of us.”

“I think it really shows the importance of what we do here every Sunday and it makes it real for us to go out of the church and see the Eucharist,” said Corynn. (29 photos)
