About 250 middle-school and high-school teens, adult chaperones and young families attend the Diocesan Youth Rally at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City. The rally included food and fellowship; powerful sacred music; inspirational talks; activities such as pumpkin decorating and a Cathedral scavenger hunt; Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament; and Mass with Bishop W. Shawn McKnight. The theme was “Can I Get A Witness?” Father Leo Patalinghug, TV’s “Cooking Priest” who goes by “Fr. Leo,” gave the keynote presentation. An innovative Catholic ensemble known as the Vigil Project provided the music. Father Joseph Luzindana, diocesan moderator for youth and young adult ministry, talked about how the young people can keep the fire burning in their hearts. (51 photos)
