Father Tony Rinaldo, pastor of St. Andrew parish in Tipton and Annunciation parish in Cedron, offers Mass for the Vigil of the Epiphany of Our Lord on Jan. 5, 2019. Former parishioners from near and far filled the well preserved 19010-vintage church to capacity. One of the seven original missions founded by Belgian Jesuit Father Ferdinand Helias in the 1830s, the Cedron parish was closed in 1992. A nonprofit group known as the Friends of Cedron Church now maintain church, cemetery, former rectory and former school, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. (56 photos)
